Booking a holiday home with Quality Renting: from reservation to payment
Quality Renting’s current conditions set out a staged booking and payment process, with different timing for reservations made close to arrival.
Found a holiday home you like? Great. Before you book, you probably want to know when to pay, what confirmation you receive and what happens next. Here is the booking process in normal, practical steps.
A holiday-home booking becomes much easier to manage when the payment moments and documents are clear from the start. Quality Renting’s currently published rental conditions describe the reservation as binding and state that the booking confirmation contains the rental agreement that the tenant must sign and return.
Current payment schedule
| When the booking is made | Published payment schedule |
|---|---|
| More than 8 weeks before arrival | 25% within 5 working days; remaining 75% no later than 8 weeks before the rental starts. |
| Within 8 weeks before arrival | The full rental amount is due. |
| Within 3 weeks before arrival | The conditions state that payment must be made immediately. |
The exact booking confirmation remains important because it identifies the property, rental period and amounts that apply to the individual reservation. Optional or property-specific extras should be checked there rather than assumed from a general example.
Before making the transfer
Booking checklist
- Check that names, property and dates are correct.
- Read the rental agreement and current conditions before signing.
- Check the total amount and the due dates.
- Confirm any optional extras such as pool heating or pets.
- Check the deposit arrangement separately from the rental price.
- Keep the confirmation and payment evidence together.
Arrival information comes later
A financial booking confirmation is not the same as the arrival procedure. The current conditions state that the property is generally available from 16:00 and ask guests to aim for arrival between 16:00 and 18:00. Guests expecting to arrive later should communicate this in advance. Property-specific key or contact instructions can therefore follow after the booking itself.
Website conditions can be updated. For an existing reservation, always compare general website information with the signed rental agreement and confirmation for that booking.
Frequently asked questions
Is a reservation only final after I arrive?
No. The current conditions describe the reservation as binding and set payment obligations before arrival.
Can the payment schedule differ for a late booking?
Yes. A booking made within eight weeks, and especially within three weeks, has a faster payment timetable under the published conditions.
Are all extras included in the rent?
Not necessarily. Check the individual booking for cleaning, pool heating, pets, deposit and other property-specific items.
